Vesta’s Main Competition was the Vestalia, a weeklong celebration held yearly from June seven–15. Over the Vestalia, barefoot maidens formed a procession resulting in the Temple of Vesta, exactly where they would make offerings for the goddess. The Vestalia was enormously well-known—following the rise of Christianity in the Roman Empire,
